I am new to this forum, and have found lots of information:)

I wounder if anyone have experience with 8hp tohatsu on dehlya 22?

I have an old 6hk evinrude and would like a newer engine..

Harald,

Since 2008 (or earlier) I use this outboard engine for my Dehlya22.
Never any problem or show stopper. Works perfect.

and have you done any improvements to the boat to cope with 8hp?

The reason why I decided for 8hp was that I need a strong maschine against river rhein...

Is it normal on a dehlya22 to use a remote controlbox, or just use the controls on the engine itself?

I don't have a remote control.
So for my purspose it's sufficient using the controls on the engine itself.
In terms of comfort a remote control would be nice to have...
